This was the best rental cabin I could find on the internet, and it exceeded my expectations. It felt very clean and new. We were impressed with the quality of the building and the attention to details in the finish work. It contained everything we needed: linens, paper products, full set of dishes, cookware and utensils. I have stayed at other rentals that tended to skimp on these items. Everything we needed to do was clearly marked with notes (thermostat, water heater, dryer, etc.) The owner was friendly and responsive. All of this made us want to be exemplary guests and do our best to treat the house well and be clean and responsible. SOme things that I didn’t expect: privacy and woods despite being in a subdivision (no other lots on the street had yet been built on), handicapped accessible master bathroom with walk in shower, double wide hammock, very clean.

WOW, this a very beautiful cabin. My family really enjoyed staying there, it’s a lot better than trying to camp out somewhere. Being handicap in a wheelchair made my stay more comfortable being able to stay in a home that is accessible. I do plan in renting your home again in the future and every hunt my kids have in Alpine.

We just had a great time at the cabin. It is really beautiful and just as pictured, clean and well maintained. We had 10 in our party, plus 3 dogs, so there was plenty of room for all. Ages were from middle 20’s to 64, so we had a varried group, our children and some of their friends. The back porch was just perfect to sit and enjoy your coffee and read, or just enjoy the pines all around. The kitchen with that fantastic stove worked just great for pancakes for all! We just wanted a relaxing weekend somewhere cooler than the valley. Everyone had a perfect time. Lisa is easy to work with and answered all my questions immediately. This really is a beautiful property. Thanks Lisa for a great weekend.

We visited Charley’s Mt. Retreat in Alpine on July 27 – 30, 2005. This was a repeat trip to wonderful Alpine and Charley’s retreat, my first being in 1979. And, as before, it was beautiful. The cabin is always so clean and comfortable. It is also so large that one can easily find a little niche away from everybody else for a little quiet time. The cabin is well appointed with a full kitchen and BBQ grill for the master chefs. There are plenty of linens and the baths are very nice.Being next door to the Tal-Wi-Wi lodge is also nice for a little evening after-dinner getaway.Alpine is also a wonderful place to visit. Hiking, fishing, and wild animal watching are all so easy to do. We went to the Hannigan Meadow area for a short hike through the Blue Range Primitive Area and again, it was just beautiful. You will love this place and the area. We plan to try to come back in the winter for a litte winter recreation.
